This is a list of movies and TV series that feature zip collars. Some of these may not be worth your time as they feature very brief scenes with zip collars. Or the collars are not worn in a particular interesting way, i.e. they are never worn zipped all the way up. I have added a * to the titles I personally like and that do feature longer sequences and/or scenes with fully zipped up collars.

Why Why Love (換換愛) *
Taiwanese comedy series from 2007. Actress Rainie Yang wears track tops in four of the episodes. In two episodes she wears a lovely blue 70’s Adidas top in what I like to call the anteater style. In two other episodes she wears a green top that also looks like it’s from the 70’s. Whoever styled her, stopped short of zipping that jacket all the way up, like the two last centimeters of the collar are unzipped. Still looks nice!
Mon 3
Swedish short film from 2006. Stars two girls, one of whom wears an Adidas Europa jacket (my favourite!). In the opening scene, her jacket is open, but in subsequent scenes it is zipped all the way to the top of the collar.
Kirenji Girls Combat School (危廉陣女子学園) *
Japanese movie. I think it’s from 2008. Anyway, it has a nearly twenty minutes long sequence where three girls in vintage style track tops fight each other!
Too Much Flesh
French comedy/drama from 2000. There’s some fairly explicit stuff in this movie so keep that in mind if you go looking for it. Anyway, Élodie Bouchez’s character wears a 70’s Adidas jacket in several scenes.
26 Years (26년) *
Korean movie from 2012. Stars Han Hye-Jin (한혜진) as a tracksuit-clad sports shooter.
Insecure
In episode 7 of season 5, Tiffany (played by Amanda Seales) wears an Adidas x Wales Bonner tracksuit.
One-Way to Tomorrow (Yarına Tek Bilet)
Turkish movie from 2020. Dilan Çiçek Deniz wears a very nice looking track top through most of the movie. Available on Netflix (in Northern Europe at least).
Adoring (宠爱)
Chinese movie from 2019. There is a scene, in which a girl wears a fully zipped Adidas jacket under a denim dress.
Police Academy 4
From 1987. I’m kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel here, but the movie does feature tracksuits (red ones). However, the movie is probably best known for Leslie Easterbrook’s wet t-shirt scene.
Fashion King (패션왕) *
Korean movie from 2014. There is a sequence where everyone wears tracksuits.
La Leggenda Di Kaspar Hauser
Italian movie from 2012.
Jo Pil-ho; The Dawning Rage (악질경찰) *
Korean movie from 2019. The main female character played by Jeon So-nee (전소니) wears an Adidas Europa tracksuit. Available on Netflix.
Kamoshirenai Joyutachi 2016 (かもしれない女優たち 2016)
Japanese TV-drama from 2016. Roughly five minutes in, one of the characters wears an Adidas jacket.
Fucking Åmål aka Show Me Love
Swedish movie from 1998. Agnes (played by Rebecka Liljeberg) wears a red track top. Åmål is a small town in Sweden. Apparently the Swedish title was considered too crude for the international market and so it was renamed “Show Me Love” for the international release. Bonus picture of Rebecka in an Adidas jacket for an interview she did with a newspaper.
Flower Boy Ramen Shop (꽃미남 라면가게) aka Cool Guys, Hot Ramen *
Korean series from 2011. Actress Lee Chung-ah (이청아) wears a blue Adidas Europa top in many of the scenes and it’s mostly zipped all the way up! You can trust the Koreans when it comes to zipping track jackets all the way up!
Dynasty (the remake)
In episode 11 of season 2, Fallon, played by Elizabeth Gillies, wears a red vest with a large collar and a pair of ski pants.
Kung Fu
American TV series. Available on HBO Max in Europe (at least in my country). Found two episodes of interest (though there may be more, haven’t browsed through all episodes yet): Season 2 Episode 12 & 13: Vest with large zip collar. Season 3 Episode 12: Half-zip sweater with large zip collar.
The Zone: Survival Mission 2
Korean variety show. In episode 3 where they play golf, Kwon Yu-ri (권유리) wears a Duvetica outfit with a zip collar. At the beginning of the episode she even wears a vest with a zip collar on top of the outfit (two zip collars layered!). Available on Disney+. The Equalizer
In episode 8 of season 3, the character Mel played by Liza Lapira wears a La Doudoune Pralu Jacket by Jacquemus. In episode 2 season 3 of the same series, Mel wears a half-zip top under what looks like a denim jacket.
The Brood
1979 horror movie with a bit of 70’s winterwear nostalgia. I would have been roughly the same age as the children in the movie in 1979 and the jackets and coveralls are pretty much exactly what I wore. The children in the movie seem to have the hoods up all the time, which I don’t remember having. The hoods were after all very flimsy and were really only meant to protect you from rain. Also, I would not have had a scarf tied around my neck. Scarves would have been considered too much of a hazard (there were stories in the news at the time of children getting their scarves caught in climbing frames and strangling themselves to death) by my mum.
Equinox
Danish Netflix series. In episode 3, Amelia played by Fanny Bornedal, wears a biker jacket/track jacket combo.
The King of Queens
In episode 12 of season 7 (Gym Neighbors), Carrie wears a green sweatsuit with a larger collar. Update: The suit appears in S08E02 as well.
The Moorside
A British two-part drama from 2017 based on the real life story of a mother (Karen Matthews) who kidnaps her own daughter and then deceives the public into thinking the daughter has disappeared. Gemma Whelan who plays Karen Matthews wears a jacket with a large collar. The last picture above is of the real life Karen Matthews.
Duska
Dutch movie from 2007. Sylvia Hoeks wears a leather jacket with a knit zip collar.
Ichi The Killer
Japanese movie from 2001. Early on in the movie, there’s a sequence with three men in leather suits with “zip collar masks”.
Mad Max
From 1979. Sort of scraping the bottom of the barrel here as well. Toecutter’s jacket has a stand up collar. I remember watching the movie as a child, thinking he looked pretty cool. When I later watched the movie again, I had more of a ‘meh’ reaction.
Grbavica: The Land of My Dreams
Movie from 2006. Sara, played by Luna Mijović, wears a vintage style ski jacket.
Adulthood
British movie from 2008. Lexi, played by Scarlett Alice Johnson, wears a brown leather bomber. There’s also a scene where another woman wears a black leather bomber.
Doctor Who Season 1 (2005)
In episodes 12 and 13, Lynda (played by Jo Joyner) wears a white jacket with a zip collar.
Freaks and Geeks
TV-series from 1999-2000. Kim played by Busy Philipps wears a 70’s style ski jacket through the entire series. In the pilot (which aired as episode 1) she actually wears a different jacket; a darker blue one. In the pilot there’s also another girl in a brown ski jacket in one of scenes with Kim.
I Am Number Four
Movie from 2011. Teresa Palmer wears a leather jacket with large collar.
Lille Soldat aka Little Soldier
Danish movie from 2008. The main character played by Trine Dyrholm wears a leather bomber (and an Adidas jacket towards the end).
Final Destination 3
Movie from 2006. Starting at 58:55 (approximately) one of the female characters wears a pink sweat jacket with a zip collar.
House Of 9
Movie from 2005. Morven Christie’s character wears baggy jeans, sneakers, and a zip top zipped all the way up.
The Long Kiss Goodnight
Movie from 1996 (time flies, I pretty much remember that as being yesterday). Available on HBO Max.
Juno
This is a movie from 2007 which I have seen and can recommend. Juno (played by then Ellen Page, now Elliot Page) wears a jacket with a large collar for parts of the movie. Juno is available on Disney+.
Mistress America
Movie from 2015. It is available on Disney+. Haven’t watched it, I just quickly scrolled through it. One of the characters wears a short padded jacket with a large collar. It’s never zipped up all the way unfortunately.
